From the late 1960s to the early 1980s, Campbell recorded more than 40 country songs and 34 pop hits.

WomenAgainstAlzheimer's, of which Alzheimer's Tennessee President & CEO Janice Wade-Whitehead is also a founding member, aims to unite women across the globe to find a cure for Alzheimer's. "My mom is still suffering with it".

He was credited with paving the way for other country crossover artists such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

JACKSON: Of course, it's still devastating because, I mean, he gave me a job when I was 18 years old and pretty much made me a part of the family at that point, you know.
