Here are the grades for the Seahawks' 12-9 win over the 49ers Sunday.

"We have high standards, and we didn't meet it last week and our guys are determined to get back on track", Carroll said. Here are Sunday's top takeaways. The inability to run the ball hurt the 49ers a great deal as Carlos Hyde had 45 rushing yards on nine carries.

Hyde used a spin move on a third-down, 27-yard run to go over 100 yards just before halftime.

The Seahawks called a defensive timeout with 42 seconds left in the half, and San Francisco facing third and 12 at its own 30. He finished with 124 yards on just 15 carries. Wilson, running for his life against the 49ers' pass rush, singlehandedly took Seattle down the field with his ability to scramble for yards and buy time to make plays down the field.

Well, Graham caught one pass for exactly one yard against the 49ers.

The scoreboard nearly told a different tale, though, another glaring indictment of a Seahawks offense that couldn't reach the end zone until their season's 20th possession. They played a lot of Cover 3 and Cover 1, and rely on their front 4 to generate pressure, which worked for all but one drive, when Russell Wilson made a decision to tuck the ball and run past edge rushers. The latter field goal was set up by Bobby Wagner's interception of a Brian Hoyer pass. But the passing game again wasn't dynamic.

The Seahawks came up big when needed, holding the 49ers to field goals on three tries inside the 20 (though a dropped pass by Marquise Goodwin on second down of the go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter was a big help).

It was the 49ers' closest loss among the seven straight they've endured in Seattle, including the 2013 season's NFC Championship Game in which they fell 23-17. He threw for only 99 yards and his longest completion was 14 yards. With just less than five minutes to play, Seattle's offense had run 71 plays to San Francisco's 48. But at the end of the game, none of the 49ers D-linemen could contain Wilson in the pocket - he rushed for 27 yards on the Seahawks' game-winning touchdown drive. The key for Griffin will be to not get burned by the deep ball as I would suspect that San Francisco will take shots deep early in the game to test the third-round pick out of UCF. Arik Armstead, Aaron Lynch and Tank Carradine all got sacks.

Richard Sherman's hamstring likely won't keep him out of the home opener, preserving his streak of consecutive games played. Every time the Seahawks ran the read option, he forgot his assignment, which was to contain Wilson and force him to hand the ball off. Armstrong kept drifting toward the running back and allowing Wilson to run for long gains. He racked up 93 yards on the ground. This year has already seen him run more, as he ran twice for 40 yards in Week 1 and 12 times for 34 yards Sunday against the 49ers.

NaVorro Bowman led the 49ers with 10 tackles.

That appears to mean the only Seahawk who won't be available due to injury is linebacker Terence Garvin, who did not practice all week with a shoulder issue and was officially listed as doubtful for Sunday. Reid didn't return following that point.

San Francisco simply can not have a similar start this time around.
