WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 Results: Did Shane McMahon Win?

Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens inside the unforgiving steel of Hell In A Cell, with falls counting anywhere. Speaking of heights, this match had 2 epics table crashes. Zayn's involvement is intriguing and serves as a hell of a hook for Smackdown. Did he pull Shane out of the way because he wants to be the one who puts Owens down?

Zayn and Owens had been on-screen pals for years before Owens' shocking turn a number of years ago - so it was something of a shock to see Zayn come to the aid of the former Universal Champion. He wanted to beat the poor man within in an inch of his life.

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship - The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, and/or Xavier Woods) (c) vs. The Usos go on the offensive with more kendo sticks and the pace slows down quite a bit at that point.

For weeks, United States Champion AJ Styles has lambasted challenger Baron Corbin for using shortcuts to win matches - cheating here or there, a cheap shot every now and then. I know we always ask this, but we appreciate it. Did WWE really fly Bryan in just to do this segment or was this something that was filmed last week?

While Corbin is outside the ring, AJ Styles hits Tye Dillinger with the Phenomenal Forearm. There is a new USA champion: Baron Corbin. Jinder Mahal is still the champ. The title can give him the boost he deserves and would provide for some new match-ups, feuds. He showed fear when the rest of Degeneration X left him alone with The Undertaker. Shinsuke has, sadly, struggled on the main roster and in his time on SmackDown he has only delivered one really good match.

Looking at all of those facts, as well as the tease of a Hype Bros breakup, one would think Shelton and Chad pick up the win here and hopefully kickstart some kind of push for the team. MATTHEW BYER: Has Shane-O-Mac won a match since the 1990s?

-While Owens/Shane had the biggest bumps, the best match of the night was the tag match in the Hell in a Cell that opened the show. It's nearly as if WWE Creative took all of the pent up racism that they couldn't utilize throughout the PG era and are utilizing it through Jinder Mahal. Nakamura landed a Kinshasa that should've given him the win, by the ref was temporarily distracted by the Singh Brothers, who had just been ejected from ringside. He has a cool entrance and they tell viewers he's an artist and a rock star. He loves jumping off things, but he's just not very good at it. Hence, Natalya retained the belt. Despite Neville criticizing him for being too soft to get ahead, and despite having opportunities during the match, he wouldn't cheat against Neville, and eventually ended up winning cleanly.

On a night that mostly followed storylines to a tee, WWE threw a curveball the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw would be proud of to conclude its Hell in a Cell main event.
